Subaru Ascent vs. Honda Pilot

Performance

Subaru Ascent models are the ideal three-row SUVs for anyone that enjoys traveling across the country and exploring the different landscapes and climates. That's because every new Subaru Ascent model comes with standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, providing you with the best possible traction, handling, and control on any terrain and in any weather conditions. The new Honda Pilot lineup offers standard front-wheel drive on all but one model, and while all models are available with available all-wheel drive, it will cost more.

The new Subaru Ascent lineup delivers a strong and spirited performance that you can enjoy taking full command of every time you get behind the wheel. All the Ascent models have a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 260-horsepower and 277 pounds-feet of torque. The Honda Pilot uses a 3.5-liter V6 engine that has a slight advantage in horsepower, but falls short with 262 pounds-feet of torque compared to 277 pounds-feet of torque in all the Pilot models.

Technology Features

To help keep you easily connected wherever you go, all the new Subaru Ascent models come with a large 11.6-inch vertical touchscreen display that performs like a tablet, giving you user-friendly command of your smartphone using integrated Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality. The new Honda Pilot lineup features a standard 7-inch touchscreen with a 9-inch touchscreen available on the highest trim levels.

Subaru Ascent vs. Toyota Highlander

Performance

The Subaru Ascent and Toyota Highlander models have similar fuel economy numbers, but the Ascent lets you travel further on a full tank with 19.2 gallons of fuel capacity, compared to 17.9 gallons in the Toyota Highlander.

Explore the tough trails around Tomball or go on vacation with your family with more confidence, regardless of the weather, with the standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system in every new Subaru Ascent model. The Toyota Highlander models have standard front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is available on all Highlander models, but it will cost more than front-wheel drive models.

Size

The new Subaru Ascent has more space for you and your passengers to stretch out and enjoy the ride, with 153.6 cubic feet of passenger volume in all models, while the Toyota Highlander has 141.3 cubic feet of passenger volume.
